Am trying to be good and book something in the school hols but so far they are all proving too exspensive.

Anyone know of anywhere that doesn't cost a bloody fortune ??

It's for 2 adults, and 3 kids.

which part of the uk do you want to be? and what would you like to stay in? hotel? log cabin? Caravan?

NutcrackingXmas · 22/12/2005 17:33

Open to any area of uk really.

Accomodation needs to be apartment, caravan, cabin etc, anything but a hotel or b&b.

Needs to have enough for kids to do and thats about it.

Don't know where you are and how this would be but Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth is great for kids and you aren't far from an Asda and you can easily walk into Great Yarmouth.Have a look at this

NutcrackingXmas · 22/12/2005 18:00

Thanks, the link doesn't work but i'll look it up later.

We are in brum but I don't mind travelling for a nice place.

How about a house swap? We did one with a family in Edinburgh last year and had a great time. We had the Fringe and they had our big garden and the sea.

NutcrackingXmas · 22/12/2005 20:17

Non of us are really into sports. We like to take the kids swimming, to the beach, farms, theme parks etc.

Cornwall is fab. Try Parkdean holidays , they have places for under £700. Don't think that link works, but Google Parkdean Holidays.

nutty, go to the haven website, the caravan site in somerset ( about 1.5 hrs away) "Doniford Bay" is where we were going to buy a caravan. July 22nd they have caravans starting from around #400.00 for 7 days, they have a search engine so you can check all dates.

that caravan site is excellent. we have friends who own a static on there and the kids facilities are fab.

TIREDofwrappingpressiesEMMA · 23/12/2005 10:17

sorry nutty, forgot to add, 2006 bookings only require a #50.00 deposit.

21stcenturygirl · 23/12/2005 10:18

Nutty - our caravan will be free around any of those weeks. You may recall we "talked" about it sometime ago - its the Camber Sands one in East Sussex. Is that too far? It has everything you're after and is in a beautiful part of the country. Whitsun week will be £320 and Summer Hols are £450 a week. CAT me for further details.
