Has anyone got any recommendations for hotels in California? We are heading over in September next year for our honeymoon, taking our daughter who will be 18 months old by then. We've always loved boutiquey or off the beaten track hotels rather than resorts but are thinking that travelling with our daughter may mean we need to change all that..... so far we've travelled only in Europe with her and found it much easier to rent a house than to stay in hotel rooms!
Our budget isn't huge as 3 weeks after my wedding my sister-in-law-to-be is getting married in Australia so we are actually combining her wedding with our honeymoon by getting a round the world ticket via california on the way out and via hawaii on the way home.
Any tips would be great!
