spanish mainland resort? big family holiday, want somewhere nice but not too busy/crazy...

We're going on holiday next year in a villa. Grandparents, parents and 4 kids (5yrs-11yrs)

We were thinking of Nerja area but the beaches look a bit rocky/stoney/not nice.

We don't want to go to usual places of Alcudia/Benidorm etc etc...somewhere a bit less commercialised and built up would be great.

Any ideas please?

The Costa Blanca is more than just Benidorm and has some lovely villages with villas away from Benidorm.
