anyone been to The Azores? Any good with 9 year old and 6 year old?

forget them, they won't appreciate it - take me - always think it sounds lovely

We went years ago before we had kids. It depends what you like doing as a family. We did loads of walking and stayed on a couple of the more remote islands. iirc there aren't that many good beaches but rather rocky pools dotted around. The terrain is spectacular and there are plenty of nature trail/volcano spotting type activities. Don't know what the tourism infrastructure is like these days. A car would be essential I think.

Prorbably more family orientated if you stay on the larger islands - either Sao Miguel or Terceira.
