Travel with a 6 month old

I am just wondering if anyone has travelled abroad with a 6 month old baby? My husband and I are looking to go away with our daughter in the new year, she will be 6-7 months by then and we are slightly concerned that she will not have had her MMR jab and where will have good health care. We are looking for somewhere hot.

We've not ventured anywhere abroad yet. But the reason im writing on your post is my DH bought a book called "Have baby, will travel" as he was so determined we would and could take a little one abroad!!! It has good tips about packing and also things to consider about temperature etc when deciding on your destination.
