London - 3 1/2 and 2 year old - Somewhere to eat near Aquarium

Thinking of taking our dd's into London after Christmas, to go on the train and take them to the Aquarium and then out to Lunch. Any recomendations on somewhere to go for lunch fairly near the Aquarim. Dont mind going a bit further afield for a really nice child friendly restaurant.

We've eaten in Giraffe at eh Festival Hall which is a short walk up the river. I can't find a Giraffe website though! I think this branch is fairly new so can ony find mentions of their other branches.

Somewhere between Giraffe and the Tate Modern is a sort of side bit (not really a street) which seemed to have a couple of cafes in it. Gabriel's Wharf

IIRC, restaurants seemed pretty thin on the ground or busy around there.

There is, of course, always McDonalds

Snort! Which is what Lockets mentioned, obviously.

MARINAtivityPlay · 10/12/2005 21:17

Wow, I had no idea Giraffe were in the RFH (shows how long it is since we were in there )
Thanks for the tip Soupy.

And for the URL Floss. Glad you are feeling a bit better today

It was new-ish when we went in September.

Thanks Marina. It was only built over the summer, so you aren't that out of step!

Feeling less of a billy-no-culture now
Used to LIVE there or in the Purcell Room Before Children...

DS likes to try and chase the pigeons down there. Unfortunately he has yet to work out that screaming at them isn't really giving him the upper hand, especially as he is only been walking a couple of months. Mind you, with their mankey feet, its a good job they can fly otherwise they might not make it! YUK!
