Flying with a Maclaren travel bag

Does anyone know if you can take the travel bag for the maclaren pushchair (with the pushchair) to the actual gate or do you need to leave it with the rest of the baggage at check in?

you can take it to the gate
if they label the buggy at the gate you need to make sure they label the buggy bag instead of the buggy
