Hi going to Legoland next friday and am looking for recommendations for somewhere to eat on the way home in the evening (having a picnic in the park at lunch).

Needs to be somewhere on route (or only a few minutes off the route)from legoland to M25. Not fussy about what we eat anything, could be anythng from McDonalds and KFC to beefeater or a pizza hut. Just something substantial enough to fuel me for the not insignificant drive home!

Alternatively does anyone know how sharp to the closing time Legoland is? I know chessington often seem to stay open later than the advertised hours, would any of the eating places there still be open at or just before 6 if that's when the park is advertised as closing?

Phew just realised thats long, hope it sill makes sense!!!

Windsor itself has McD, Pizza Express, Nando etc. on Thames Street. Use King Edward Court or River Street car parks.

Depending on which route you take to the M25:
Through Old Windsor to junction 13, there's a Burger King on the Runnymede/Egham roundabout.

Exit left and about 3 minutes down the road on the next traffic lights is a lovely family friendly pub with good food called the Prince Albert.

Yes very easy to go into Windsor. Only thing i would say is public parking is very expensive so probably a harvester or such would be better parking wise.

*Harvester- Leave Legoland turning left. At first lights turn left and go to the end of this road where you will come to a double roundabout, take first exit and third exit at these. Then right to the end of this road and turn right. Harvester is about 200yds on the left. Takes no more than 5 mins.

In Bagshot (turn left off A322 onto A30, first exit at roundabout by garden centre, is a Fish & Chips called Jacks. It has mixed reviews but a good thing about it is that it has a large free carpark and is close to M3 J3 so just off your proposed route. They do dine in or take away.

Bluegrass BBQ Smokehouse is amazing in Windsor if you're visiting Legoland or Windsor Castle (it's right by the castle in central Windsor). Good kids menu & I heard they've won awards for their american bbq.
