We are going to Gran Canaria in November and the resort is an hour and a half away from the airport by coach. I'm concerned about keeping my 1yr old DD safe on the coach as we've been before and the roads are pretty scary, not to mention the drivers!!! Any sugegstions?

Just bumping to see if anybody has any ideas...? We're going away in a wk or so. I think it's just going to be a case of holding on tight to them and hoping for the best.

Have you considered booking a taxi instead? 1.5 hours by coach, while dropping everyone else, might only be 40 minutes by private transport. We were confronted with the same situation in Greece when DS was 1yo, and we thought of the taxi, although I seem to remember we ended up in taking the coach and sitting him in the window seat where he fell asleep. Not great, but ...

Yes that's an idea... Thanks.

Just wanted to let you know that we packed a booster seat like this one because we could fit it in our hand luggage and we fitted it onto the coach seat with no problems at all and had a happy safe(r) journey. Unfortunately on the way back to the airport there weren't enough seats to let my dd have her own so she had to sit on my knee :(
