Car ferry to Jersey - where to get the best deal?

Am just getting some prices together for next year.

Looked at a few websites a while back and all of them seemed to be astronomical. We'll be taking our camping gear so flying not an option unfortunately.

Any tips much appreciated.

Am I right in thinking only Brittany Ferries do that? I know we did it a couple of years ago from Poole, and back via Portsmouth. Oh, and to St Malo with them the year before that.

I know I had to re-enter our details over and over again on the site to try and get the cheapest combo- some surprises there!

Also- small point: on both holidays, on at least one stretch, the fast ferry wasn't. Running on half speed both times so we left Jersey 2 hours late at 9pm and got in at our house, 25 miles from Portsmouth, at 4 a.m....

Which campsite are you using?

I looked at Condor and the quote was £150 each way Shock - I'm not sure if it was fast ferry or not but it was a day's travelling to get there and an overnighter coming back.

Have short-listed 3 campsites: Bleu Soleil, Rozel and Beuvelande.

At the moment I am costing camping in Jersey again cottage in Yorkshire.

Any tips much appreciated!
