Looking for a last minute(ish) package for flights and hotel in New York for 5 days including NY Eve. Any tips on who to book with for reasonable prices? Also any nice centrally located hotels that MNers can recommend would be great!

Oh, we're going without my dd as she is with her dad for a week.

we booked through expedia & got a really good price. we stayed in the Ameritania which is just off broadway and about 5 mins walk from times sq. It was completely fine - not luxurious, but very modern and new. They served bagels for breakfast - not many places include breakfast.

We booked it all independantly and saved quite a bit, but dont know whether you will at this late stage. the company we use for flights is
www.airline-network.co.uk and the hotel is
www.doubletree.com on the doubletree page, you have to input the dates and everything, and it should bring up the times square doubletree. They are one bedroom apartments and you get free brekkie for 2 adults and 2 children(and a lovely warm choc chip cookie on check in)
