med holiday rec for 4 yr old and 1 yr old

Hi

We want to go somewhere warm next June, ideally the med to keep flying time to a minimum, so wanted to see what people have had success with and could recommend? We have a 4 yr old and 1 yr old DD's so would be good to have things there for the oldest to enjoy, and next to a beach would be ideal.

Seems to be a whole load of options out there which is a bit bewildering so would be good to hear of somewhere which is tried and tested!

Menorca! Just back from Menorca, travelled to different beaches and towns and I would say that you could pick practically any resort on the island and find it family/child friendly. We stayed in a villa in Son Bou, found the villa from an ad on Mumsnet actually (Villasplus) and was very very impressed. The beach at Son Bou is beautiful, although the waves can be a wee bit fierce for nervous swimmers, but the beach at Calan Porter is like getting into a large bath and very gentle, it was perfect for our non-swimming/armband wearing 4 year old!!
