We took DD and DS to see this today and it was really good. They had a brilliant time and really got into it. DD was dancing along and DS wanted to throw things at the baddies! DS also wants to go and watch it again tomorrow!

Yeah I took my kids to the opening night and they loved it too. I really laughed when they took the micky out of the Old Vic for doing Aladdin again.

We're going on 18 Dec. Really looking forward to it. DS1 went last year, this year will be DS2's first time!

Update - this is excellent - do take your kids if you live within striking distance of Hackney! It's quite long, though - the matinee starts at 2.30 p.m. and doesn't finish until just after 5 p.m. And I wouldn't recommend for very young children - my four year old DS2 was a bit scared!

Ha! I was going to start this thread! WEnt on Boxing Day and it was indeed FANTASTIC. I loved it and thoroughly recommend it. Everything a panto should be - UV scene, singalong, birthdays, flying scene, corny jokes, WONDERFUL dame, dashing principals, dancing, singing, lovely traditional sets - the lot. Oh, and a most brilliant and amazing giant.

Yes, it is quite long. Best probably for fives and up (and grown ups!)
