Help - Holiday with a toddler - where?

Desperate for a holiday that seems like the ones we had before we had our daughter! Any recommendations for somewhere warm, stylish and interesting in September. Italy or Spain?

Have you thought about Majorca?We have just come back from Puerto Pollensa,with a toddler and a baby,stayed in an apartment near the Pinewalk,highly recommend for toddler holiday, and last year went to Soller to a lovely hotel called Cas Xorc & another place near Campos (on www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk) with just a toddler.There are some gorgeous Mr &Mrs Smith style hotels in certain parts of Majorca which are fine if you just have 1 so they can sleep in your room.Flight from UK is just over 2 hours.
