Nashville for a day. What to do?

we're traveling through Nashville and have promised the dc a visit to the Parthenon ( Percy Jackson!).

Does anyone have any ideas of what else we could do? Pref outdoors and cheap.

Dc are 4-10

When will you be in Nashville - approximately? You state you prefer outdoors, but it is crazy hot atm (compared to the UK) all over the southern part of America, and the heat/humidity is enough to strip enthusiasm out of most anything.
