Edinburgh Tattoo Parking

We are going tot the Tattoo next Wednesday from Berwick.

I have searched the internet but cannot find any reliable info about where to park and how to get into the City, or more importantly how to get back to the car after the Tattoo.

Has anyone been and know the best thing to do?

I live here (Edinburgh) and have been to the tattoo, i'm not going to lie, parking is a nightmare!! We parked in Castle Terrace, which is uderneath the castle so to the speak, near Lothian Road, you have to be there super early tho, getting out at the end is also very difficult and busy, i'd advise, taking your car to a park and ride and getting the bus to princes st and walking the short trip up really :)

Park at mine. Have large drive. 10 min bus ride from mine to town.

I think I'd park much farther out and take a bus in.

Will the buses be OK for getting back to park and ride?

Yeah Edinburgh has a fantastic bus service through LRT check them out online and they'll let you know of the park and rides and relevant busses :)

Park at Ocean Terminal shopping center. Then get the bus.

I will PM you K999; have looked at other options but buses after midnight are only frequent to the airport. Would the buses still be running to your house? Think it will finish about 11.30 but I could be very wrong.

We really enjoyed the Tattoo despite it raining heavily all the way through. We are still drying out.
Would recommend it to you all.
