where is this

i went years ago and cannot remember the name it is a place in north wales that is lovely for a picnic you go down through a wood and there is a lovely picnic area by a shallow river with a few tents real long shot i know

That describes much of North Wales . Any other details?

sorry i know very vague i went about 30 years ago i think it wasn;t far from harlech or if you know anywhere nice like that any recommendations welcome
