Has anyone been to Samos? What is it like? Thinking of staying in Pythagaorian. Any recommendations for accommodation.

I went to Samos a few years back, we stayed in Kokkari, a small and typically Greek resort. It was lovely. I think we went to Pythagorion for the day but I can't remember what it was like.

Samos is a lovely island.

Thank you so much for your reply! Nice to hear that someone has been, everyone looks at me like when I say Samos, but it must be relatively touristy because it is in the Thomson brochure!

Still hotel hunting but it does look like a lovely peaceful island.

It's a while back but we went to Samos in June 03, stayed in a town on the west coast, can't remember the name. Really enjoyed it, nice island to drive around, ate well, pretty unspoilt, we'd go back.
