Easiest way to get from CDG to Disney?

just wondering whether anyone could advise?

Was going to book the whole lot through DLP website but have found it £400 cheaper doing it separately, meaning we'll have to organize our own transfers.

We will be arriving Sunday early evening and leaving Wednesday afternoon if it makes any difference?

You can get the shuttle bus which is a bit of a scrum and takes about an hour, the advantage is that it will drop you straight at your hotel (if its a disney hotel), there are also private transfere companies which will get you there quicker or theres the TGV train which is the cheapest and only takes 15mins but you will have to then make your own way to your hotel. To be honest we have given up flying to disney as it is quite a lot of hassel, we always go on eurostar which is so much easier and with the disney express service your luggage is taken to your hotel leaving you free to go straight to the park.

Only problem with euro star is that we are in Scotland so extra hassle and time getting to Euston.

How far is it from the train station to the park? (NYC hotel)

The new york is only 5mins from the train station which is right at the gates of the park so you would have no trouble getting to either of them

So train would be the easiest option then?

We flew Easyjet from Glasgow to CDG then got the TGV to Disney. The train was really busy and we didn't get seats, but it was less than 15 minutes so it really wasn't any problem - we stood near the door and didn't even get DS out of his buggy. From the station at Disney to the New York hotel was then an easy walk of 10 minutes or so. Our kids were aged 4 and and 10 months at the time, so the flight/train option seemed so much easier to cope with than hours on the train from Glasgow to London then Paris.

Depending on how many of you there are it might work out much the same price to get a taxi from the airport to your hotel as it would to get the train.

Are you flying with easy-jet? If so they drop you at an entirely different part of the airport that is not connected to the station or near the shuttle bus or anything! So in that case a taxi would be your best (only??) option.

In March I got a private shuttle from Ezyshuttle, 70 euro each way, 25 min journey door to door, no hassle, child seats the right size provided, was excellent. TGV was going to be 60 euro for 3 of us plus we'd have had to hang around to get one so was a no brainer. They wait for you in arrivals with a sign with your name too, car right outside.

2 adults and a 4 year old, so private transfer may be worth it...

The TGV is useful for some people, but the cheapest Prem tickets ( around ? 15 ) have to be bought 90 days in advance, and are not transferable. If you miss your booked train because of flight delays, slow baggage unloading etc, you cannot use the tickets on a later one. Later trains could also be fully booked. Frequency of TGV trains vary - sometimes it can be 90 mins between trains, so a long time to wait for the next one if you miss the one you wanted to catch.
Full price tickets cost ? 30. You also have to get to the TGV station in Terminal 2D which can be a pain with kids, buggies and luggage. Then you have to walk or take the shuttle bus to your hotel.

The VEA bus costs ? 18 adult and ? 15 child. They leave from Terminal 2E/F. You can buy tickets in advance online, from the VEA desk in Terminal 2, or just pay the driver. The buses stop at each of the 6 Disney owned hotels, but not always the associated ones. Hotel New York is near the end of the drop off route, so people getting off at other hotels adds time to your journey.
The bus would cost you ? 51. ( one way ).
Isprestige is a company often used and recommended by posters on the TA DLP forum ( along with Ezyshuttle and Prestige-Transfer.com ), they charge ? 60 for 3 people from CDG to Disneyland, door to door.
Much quicker and easier than the bus, and they will have correct child seats for you, and most of their vehicles have a DVD player showing a Disney movie for kids. The driver will meet you at arrivals, and with no traffic, you can be at your Disney hotel in 30 mins. At peak times this can take longer, but they usually use the back roads to avoid any queues, unlike the VEA bus.

Some people like to use the TGV for the return journey, as fun for the kids going by train, and you know you can catch the one you booked.
You still need to allow plenty of time to get to your departure Terminal and checkin desk though, then through security, passport control etc. It can be a LONG walk to your departure gate as well.
There are usually long queues at CDG for passport control and security, as it is an extremely busy airport.
It is recommended to leave resort 3 hrs before flight time, whether you go by Private transfer, VEA bus or TGV train for European flights, and earlier for long haul.

If anyone decides to get a taxi from the airport, agree on the price first. I read in one DLP review that the writer was charged over ? 100 from CDG to their Disney hotel.
It should not be more than ? 70.
Also do not book any private transfer company that asks for payment in advance. The ones recommended do not - just pay the driver at the end of each journey. Some give a discount if you book both ways.

If you use the train, when you exit Chessy station, walk through the Disney Village (on the left) to the far end where you will come to Lake Disney with Panoramagique balloon, Cafe Mickey and Earl Of Sandwich.
Walk left past Cafe Mickey, and you will come to the Hotel New York.
Can't miss it. Looks like skyscrapers.
One thing I like about HNY is that all facilities are on the ground floor, close to each other. No steps or lifts like in the Sequoia and Newport Bay, so good for buggies and wheelchairs.
You only use lifts to get to the rooms, unless you have one on the ground floor.
Lovely smell when you walk in as well.

We have used prestige for transfers a few times now. Only have had good experiences. Costs about 70 euro for 2 adults and 2 children with car seats provided and 25 minutes to your hotel from arrivals. Pay in cash on arrival at hotel.

Have used the Disney bus too, but it took an hour and half to get to / from hotel when all pick ups were taken into account and only ten euro cheaper than prestige.
