We're planning to go abroad next year and the holiday we've found give you 15kg or you can upgrade to 20kg for £60. WWYD?

surprised you have to pay extra for upgrading to 20, as most allowances are 20 -25. But anyway, I think you'd be struggling with just 15 kg - well I would anyway.

First choice and Thomas Cook are both 15kg.

they are both the same company arn't they and i never knew this and i am surprised. Would still regret just having 15kg

if you have a chance to wash 15kg are fine. also makes lugging it around much easier.
I just returned from a weeks holiday, I packed lightly 15kg (ryanair) plus 1 trunki for me and two dc. was fine but I did a wash midweek.

Don't forget that you probably get 10Kg hand luggage too.

On our most recent holiday we just about managed on 2x15Kg for DP and I and the 2 kids. We also got 3x10Kg hand luggage (DS didn't have any allowance as he was under 2). They (Ryanair) were being very strict on the weight of each bag, and several people were re-packing at the airport. It doesn't give you much room for manouver and we couldn't bring any goodies back Sad

15kg should be adequate for a summer holiday (ie no coats or jumpers, but plenty of beach towels).

We are just back from our holiday, admittedly one week rather than two, and we took 2 x 13kg and 4 x 9kg (6 people). Our baggage allowance was 20kg pp but we didn't come close.

Carry-on was limited to 5kg and we just took what we needed for the flight, ie next to nothing.

We've booked with 15kg. Our boys get 15kg each too and at age 6 and 2 they won't need all that so I think we'll manage. Well we'll have to :o
