self catering breaks

I'm looking for info about self-catering breaks for myself and grandson [12]. As he's home educated, we can go anytime.
I keep telling him 'this year' 'next year'. Now we both need a break:)

Where were you thinking? UK or Europe etc?

No, more UK. I don't have a passport and neither does grandson. I was thinking down the coast somewhere. We live in Bucks.
