Things to do in and around Mold?

We're going camping in Mold for a week, I have a DD aged 2.5 and a DS aged 3 months. Any ideas for things to do would be gratefully received, thanks!

Chester Zoo is excellent and just a short trip down the A55, pricey though.

Rhyl SeaLife Centre, not been for ages though not sure what its like now.

You're not too far from Wrexham and the Plas Madoc Leisure Centre and its tropical lagoon pool, thats pretty good but not sure about its opening times during term time.

The Llangollen Railway is a good day out and they have horse drawn canal boats too.

Conwy Castle is worth a trip, though Ewloe Castle (or whats left of it) is a nice local place for a picnic, not too much to see or do though.
