Twin Lakes, Melton Mowbray - worth a visit?

I'm trying to organise a day out with friends. Between us we have 4 children aged 7, 5, 4 and 18 months. We'd each be travelling quite a long way (Melton Mowbray is almost exactly halfway between our homes) so we need somewhere where we can spend the whole day really to make the journeys worthwhile. It would be awful to go all that way and then find we were all bored after an hour!

Would anyone recommend Twin Lakes? Is it any good?

we enjoyed Twin lakes. ds (then 8) loved it. they've got a fab indoor play area, we didn't see ds for about an hour whilst we had a cuppa.

and outdoors they've got a nice castle place area then there's all the rides

They've even got an indoor skating rink - although we never set eyes on it.

usual protocol of taking your own packed lunch applies

theres an interactive map here

Thanks Furball. I think we might give it a go. DC's a bit little to be given complete free rein but soft play is always a hit.

Will remember to bring our own lunch too :)
