Any suggestions for child friendly restaurant near Waterloo - London?

We are going to stay in London for one night before travelling to Disneyland Paris on the Eurostar. We are staying at the Novotel in Waterloo. Any suggestions for a good family restaurant to eat at Saturday evening with 2 children aged 1 and 7? Do not fancy milling around London without any idea as I would not have a clue where to go! Any advice much appreciated!

My suggestion would be Porters at Covent Garden... not been for years (not a Londoner) does anyone know if it's still there???

Still there, but the last time we went it was less than satisfactory.

Oh ok. Thanks Sherlock... Pizza Express in Waterloo itself then... can't go wrong with that I guess.

Someone here mentioned Taz which is a lovely turkish rest. You will be very close to the 'Eye' and there is a Pizza Express near to it.
If you venture about 15 mins walk away towards the river you will find a lovely Pizza place called Gourmet Pizza. It is in Gabriel's Wharf which is just off Upper Ground.

I used to work in the area. You really should have a walk by the river if you have time - Brilliant.
