When do you start packing for your holidays?

I'm just curious really. We're going abroad with our baby for the first time in a three weeks (she'll have just turned 1) and I feel like I have been doing all sorts of planning for months, which I have I suppose. In the last week I have looked out suitcases and started bunging things in and trying to get my head around the weight limits* etc. Am I too organised? What do you do?

*and I probably still going to get it wrong or forget something vital

Me: usually the weekend before the last weekend before we go. Then it leaves the weekend before for getting anything bought that has been forgotten.
DP: about an hour before we leave for the airport.

So true Gay40.

I tend to 'sideline' clothes to take about a week in advance, leaving plenty of time for shopping laundry.

DH is running around like a mad thing the morning of the trip looking for clean pants!

Two or three days before leaving.
