Best family resorts/hotels in Balearics

We're looking to get away for a week at the end of July. I really want something to entertain a 4 year old, so nice pools, close to the beach, prefer somewhere that doesn't do all inclusive.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good family resorts and hotels? We really don't want to spend too much over £1k for the 3 of us. Cheers Grin

Thank you Fimbo, that looks lovely - the beach area is just beautiful.

I think I'll broaden the search, it really does look stunning. Before I book anything though I'll be back for advice!

It is basically one long street, there is a pedestrian path running parallel between the back of the hotels and the beach which is nice for a walk and every few paces there is a small piece of childrens play equipment which is very handy!

There are some apartments there too if you didn't want hotels.

This thread is really helpful, I am looking for hols in September, might go alone with a 2yo so do the family places have some sort of nursery, at least for a couple of hours so I can chill and have a swim??

oh and economic if poss Blush

Kione, most of the hotels I've been looking at have a kids club on a few hours, although some of them are only from age 4 I think.

My friends has had a look at the prices for what we want and it's coming in at £2k Shock. Her advise is to wait for a while to see if the prices come down, there's a load of flights available so there shouldn't be a shortage she reckons.

She managed to get a holiday for her and her little one during the Easter break, all inclusive, for £300 for the 2 of them!

The First Choice website is one of the more helpful, I've found, although I do have specific dates in mind. September should really be much cheaper as the schools are back by then. Where would you be flying from?

thanks wubblybubbly!! I will save that page on favourites and will keep an eye. I am on the Isle of Man so have to connect flights, that is the only difficulty, so have to go from Gatwick, Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham (I think), the easiest will be Gatwick I suppose.

And yes, the hotels with kids clubs start at 3yo, that was a bit of a pity. Might convince partner though, he hates those type of holidays but I NEED a break so will go with or without him :o

I am going to open a more specific thread, and maybe go to the local travel agency!

I think I may have found a holiday, just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Skorpios Hotel in Cala D'or, on Cala Egos beach?

It's this one. AI for all of us for under £2k, trip advisor reviews sound good, looks beautiful, I'm just not sure if there is anything else around there or will we be stuck?
