Charity work in Brazil What to watch out for?

I am travelling to Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park to take part in a charity challenge helping to restore a school. We will be camping and whilst I have bought the usual mozzie net, creams got the jabs etc etc are there any particular hazards, dangers etc that I should watch out for?

Ummm - snakes? Spiders? things that go bump in the night?
I haven't been to Brazil but I have camped out and slept in hammocks in Venezuela and it was very exciting but quite hairy! The noise of the howler monkeys in the morning was particularly interesting! Oh and always check your clothes before you put them on if they have been hanging out - my mum once found there was a cockroach in her swimming costume....
Sounds fabulous, I am sure you will have a great time. Just remember to take your malaria pills.

I have bought a spray to put on all fabrics that kills everything with more than two legs. Just hope it works!
