Winter Sun help please

Hi, the last two years we have been to Dubai with our children but last year felt that it was not really toddler friendly enough.
Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere to defrost our bones at the beginning of January for a week, ds1 will be 3 and ds2 nearly 2. Would prefer as short a flight as possible!

We are going to Mark Warner at Abu SOma and are hoping it will be lovely (5hrs?I think)

Had discounted as I thought they did not provide childcare before 2 years old but looks like it has changed. I will investigate further!

Go on a cruise. Fantastic childcare on P and O. Sorry, must learn to do links.

Not short flights but did you know that Mark Warner have just opened a resort in Sri lanka, sounds fantastic.

Although I would like some sun ds2 is terrible with jetlag, travel cots etc so a shorter flight time difference would mean that it might stand the chance of actually being a holiday

I've been researching the same thing, and all I've found out is that none of the places in the Canaries tend to offer childcare for under 4s during the winter months . I've decided therefore to go for adult spoiling and stay in a nice hotel on the beach, so hubby and DS can build sandcastles while I lounge around (well that's the plan anyway!!!!)
FYI I am probably going to Lanzarote and staying on the Playa Blanca or Costa Teguise - there's a thread about Princess Yaiza and Gran Melia near the top of topics (haven't worked out how to insert a link , sorry!).
