Luggage allowance for infant on Thomas Cook flight

We are due to go on holiday on Friday and are currently packing. Our 1year old has a luggage allowance of 10kg - does this mean he can have his own suitcase or will this just be additional to our allowance actually in our suitcases? All helplines for Thomas Cook are now shut! Thanks!

I'm flying with TC next month, and get the impression that between 2 adults and our baby, we have 50kg in total. I don't think it matters how many bags this is in, as long as no single bag is over 30kg, as that breaches health and safety rules for the staff who have to move them.

Also, if you are travelling with an infant (on lap) you are allowed to take two of the following free of charge (you can take the third for a charge): car seat, travel cot, pushchair.

Still, best to check with TC directly, in case that's not right, or your particular flight differs. I will be checking before we go. (but would appreciate you sharing anything else you find out!) HTH and thanks.

I thought the allowance was 20 kg..... Best to call to check as getting it wrong could be very very expensive

Just checked website:
"Passengers on the same booking reference can combine their baggage together as long as any one case does not exceed 30 Kgs. This is due to Health and Safety reasons for the baggage handlers."

Each adult gets 20kg allowance in one bag (if you have paid for it). Infants get 10kg.
You could combine adults and child's into one bag. Maximum one bag per person.
