Merlin family pass - do I have to count DS2?

am thinking of buying an annual family pass.

DS1 is 5 and DS2 is 2. Would we need a pass for 3 or 4.

It's horrifically expensive so am in 2 minds anyway.

Ah thanks, that makes it cheaper. I'm thinking of using my nectar points which will pay for about half of it.

Do you actually think you get your money's worth do you think? I'm a bit miffed that you can't use the standard pass in August - but then I'm imagining it's all pretty horrific in August anyway.
