Do airports provide the plastic bags for liquids?

Hi,

We're flying to Cyprus next week for our first trip abroad since we had our two children (DS1 3 yrs and DS2 8 months).

I can't remember what the rules are regarding liquids and hand luggage. Can anyone remind me, and do you know if the airports provide the plastic bags for liquids or do we have to take our own? If so, does anyone have any recommendations of what type of bag to take or will a food freezer bag be OK?

Thanks

At Manchester you can buy the bags but i just use a resealable sandwich bag.

You can't take any container more than 100ml other than things like baby milk which you will probably have to taste.

I tried using a resealable sandwich bag at Doncaster last year and even though I only had one mini bottle in it I was told the bag was too big. It was 80% empty!!!
I was sent to the back of the queue and had to buy a bag and then queue up again. Angry

I have always been given them at Gatwick, I can't believe some airports charge! They will try anything to get money wont they?

My only top tip is this. It is the size of the container. DH nearly came to blows with a man at Zurich airport. He had some sun cream in a 125ml bottle which was half empty. The security man explained over and over that it was the size of the bottle, not the contents that mattered.
DH still huffs about this two years on.
