Help give me ideas for a holiday!

Right, I've decided I'd really like to go on holiday this year. I'll finish uni at the end of the week, after 3 years hard work, I've got a friend who hasn't been away for years, we just need to figure out what we want!

We're both 21, and pretty flexible. However, we'd like to keep things as cheap as possible, and aren't adverse to waiting til September or going in late June, to see if that'll change the prices.

My msin thing is board basis. Would self catering be good for two 21 year olds? What's the difference between half and full board? All inclusive would be fab, but does push the prices up. Would be looking for 7-10 days. Also not adverse to a UK holiday, although neither of us drive.

I was thinking:

Corfu
Rhodes
Cyprus
Malta
Ibiza

I've been to Rhodes and Malta before and loved them, but I fancy something different. Any of those that should be avoided or things to watch out for? We're going to trawl the local travel agents next week and see what we can find.

Any UK holiday destination advice also welcome (we're in Staffordshire).

re:self-catering - depends how fussy you are about food - if you are quite fussy or don't want to spend on eating out then self-catering can be better, as you have fridge/cooking facilities which you won't get in a hotel room.

full board usually includes lunch, as well as breakfast and dinner, half board just inclues breakfast and dinner. problem with going half/full board is being tied to coming back to hotel for meal times, and if you don't like the hotel food very much then you might end up eating out anyway!

re:places - what about Spain - Majorca, or somewhere within reach of Barcelona, like Salou?

Actually, that's somewhere I'd not considered, I've always looked at the more popular bits (Magaluf, Ibiza, Benidorm, places like that). I've never been to Barcelona, is it a nice city? I'll have a look around at Salou, see what's available.
