Southport?

Heading to Southport for the day on Wednesday with my friend. We're both 21, what can we do that will be fun? I was thinking cycle ride maybe, if she's up for it, but I don't like the idea of going on roads so might be a no go. Very stuck for ideas.

beach/shops/pleasure land (if it's open weekdas this time of year)/swimming/cinema/restaurants.

there's a big leisure park near the beach, called IIRC Ocean Plaza with cinema/restaurants etc.

Sadly pleasureland isn't open in the week yet, neither is the big waterpark :( Will have a look at Ocean Plaza, thanks :)
