I'm hiring a car on holiday but they don't supply car seats for the over-threes. I have a booster seat for friends' kids, and a big hi-back booster in our car -do I need to take the big one & check it in, or is my five and ahalf year old old enough for the basic booster? what do people do?

I took a basic booster for my 4 year old on holiday but it's up to you.

Also, the hire car companies often don't but there can be local companies that supply children's goods (cots, car seats etc.) it might be worth doing a quick on line search.

I just use the booster seat for my 5 year old daughter.

get a trunki backpack, they can use it as hand luggage and it has a clip so you can make sure the seatbelt sits right....

I always take basic booster for mine since he was about 4, hire company, if they supply any, will only hire basic booster & the cost of hire will be about price of basic booster anyway
