Hi, I am looking for some advice from anyone that may have been to New York, I am travelling with 2 dd and other friends, 8 in total. I am thinking of getting a limo from jfk into New York as a surprise for all the children, cost to be divided by 2, but I wondered if anyone has any recommendations for which company to use, or for that matter, not to use.

Did you get a prepaid voucher book into various attractions, and a travel card. I will be there for 5 nights. Thank you in advance.

No idea of limo companies sorry

We did get a New York pass which was good. We were there 7 nights but got it for 5 and concentrated the attractions into it. We got the red bus tour on the last day which then lasted for 24 hours so extending the deal!

Hi, used carmellimo.com, really easy to use, and good service, you book in advance, then give them a quick call when through security and they let you know where to meet them outside.
The new york citypass can be very good value if it includes some of the attractions you want to see

That's who SIL used when she lived there (she got us one once) I didn't remember until then!

I love New York ...

Do your researches throughly before parting with any cash re limo services. VERY mixed reviews re limo company cited.

Limousines do not hold a great deal of luggage in the boot (this needs to be borne in mind); if there are that many of you travelling you may need two cars.

Don't know about limo service but used a shared minibus service last year & will do again when we go again in August. I would recommend the New York Pass to pre buy for attractions, DD1 & I bought them last year & got to see so many attractiions it was well worth the dollars spent. A lot of the places have separate tills/entry points for those card holders which means you tend to jump queues. I have seen adverts for them around at present offering 15% off if bought during may which saves you $25 to $30 off the cost of an adult pass for 7 days. The passes and accompanying guide books are posted to you & arrive within 2 weeks of ordering. It's worth getting down to the ferry for the Statue of Liberty tour early (suggest 8 am) to get your free tickets & ferry tickets for there & Ellis Island as the queues get horrendous later, & be prepared for the extra security checks before boarding the ferry & again before entering the Statue if you want to go up inside the Plinth etc.
