Family Hotel Recommendations near Waterloo Station wanted!!

We are going to disneyland paris early Dec, and are travelling to London the day before to go on the London eye etc.etc. We have 2 children aged 7 and 1, can anyone recommend a good family friendly hotel near to Waterloo that we can stay in. Are not too worried about the price as long as it is a nice hotel and near Waterloo! Also, does anyone know if they are still doing 2 for 1 offers on the London eye, and advice would be much appreciated!

There is a Novotel on Lambeth Bridge Road, a Travel Lodge at County Hall (right over the road from Waterloo) plus I think a Days Inn? by the Imperial War Museum.

Oh yes also a Marriot Hotel in County Hall (beside London Eye).

Many thanks for all your help - Just booked the Novotel (Waterloo) and got a cheap deal of £89 for the night - Excellent price!! Really pleased, it looks a lovely hotel. Now just need to plan our day in London! Thanks again.

the county hall one is supposed to be fine, my friend stayed there during the millennium celebrations.
