As part of a house hunting trip to Brittany we've just stayed at a great B&B and as I often see people on MN looking for somewhere to stay, and the fact that we were the very first guests and they were so lovely to us, I thought I'd give them a mention here.
It's a small B&B run by an English couple near Josselin in Brittany, this is the website address www.lemarronnier.org. The town was great, a canal and a medieval chateau, but Jo who runs the B&B and the B&B itself were fabulous. In my mind it felt more like a gite than a B&B because it's just two bedrooms attached to the main house, with a private garden for guests, so was great for us because the DC's could run around and I didn't have to worry about them disturbing anyone or going anywhere they shouldn't. Because the weather was so fab we were able to have breakfast in the morning sunshine outside our room with the most fantastic views. The rooms were big, clean with an ensuite and on our day of arrival Jo provided us with a really great evening menu and to DH's happiness a choice from a really good wine menu.
To top it off, we think we've found the house of our dreams so crossing all fingers hopefully we'll be returning to this beautiful area to live.
So if anyone is actually looking for somewhere to stay in this part of Brittany then I can recommend this place.
