buggy suitable to take on holiday

This summer, I am going to France for 2 months. My husband is popping out to see us but for most of the time it will be just me, DD and my parents and I'm a bit nervous (she's only 12 weeks so we're a relatively new little family!)

Anyway, my parents are driving out there so I can load their car with things to take out. They are leaving 3 weeks earlier than me so I don't want to give them my buggy as I'll need it here. Can any of you recommend an AFFORDABLE buggy I could buy to keep out there? All the ones online seem to be forward facing ones (kind of like a big version of the ones I played with as a little girl) and I'm not sure she's allowed to go in one of those yet (she can't sit independently).

Any advice gratefully received!

Personally, I take my bugaboo on holiday with me because the functionality is great and it has a travelbag so I pack it up at home, carry the diddly in a sling and stick it on the plane as oversize baggage (buggy not baby!) free because it's a buggy!.... not everyone's cup of tea and expensive if you haven't got one already! But it's meant I've only ever had one pram/buggy.

Forward facing is fine providing they can lie flat, which many of them can these days. The only problem is whether you're OK not looking at her and she at you!

The most important this as I said is the lying flat business for a young baby, all the way through to being a toddler for comfortable sleeping, after that, size, ease of folding etc are down to your preference - can you go into mothercare, department or local babystore and have a play?
What a great opportunity, have a lovely time!

Baby Jogger City Mini - they can lie almost flat and you can make it flatter with an insert.

Baby Jogger City Mini! Best pram around!!! Just as comfy for a baby as for my 2.5 year old and the one handed fold is fantastic. Lie flat, light as a feather and loads of storage. Dont buy anything else!!
