Travel insurance for someone after a heart attack - any advice?

DB had a very minor heart attack a few weeks ago, he was in hopsital and had an angiogram and is now on medication. He's fine now and taking care of himself, certainly no invalid. He's just turned 50.

We're going on a quite family holiday in two weeks to the Algarve and his long standing travel insurance policy will not cover him after the h/a...does anyone have any advice on what to do and how to get covered?

Try here - they will offer competitive premiums for pre existing health conditions

I think the British Heart Foundation also can point you in the direction of insurers who will cover people with heart issues. Its important that the travel insurance includes heart problems, not just everything else but (some do this for existing conditions)

Thank you, I'll look into that as well. The website looks good and for a week away it's quoted £19 - pretty good!
