Cheap and cheerful (yet respectable!) hotels with family rooms in Calais

We are holidaying in France in June and after a couple of weeks in Charente Maritime plan to drive further North to let the kids have a couple of days at Disneyland Paris.

Having had a couple of days in the parks we plan to get in the car and drive to nearer to the port at Calais and stay over night so we can get an early ferry in the morning and then tank it back oop North where we live.

So DH trying to find said hotel in the Nord Pas de Calais region, somewhere just off the motorway, not in the centre of Calais, and within 20/30mins of the Port. He has tried Formula 1 and Ibis and they only seem to do rooms for 3. We have 4 year old twins and need a room for 4. Don't really want to have 2 rooms if we can help it.

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

Novotel in Calais has familt suites. I use Novotels all the time and they are very family friendly. The kids get a free breakfast and they have cheap child menus. There is usually a playground and playroom. This place is next to the big shopping centre I think.

The hotel is fine, but I don't recall any playrooms or play facilities (or any food, to speak of). But the rooms are good for families.

Hotel Restaurant l´escale - for the large rooms and seafood. There´s another old fashioned hotel with rooms for 4 in the village but I´ve forgotten the name.. Book some time in advance - they seem to be pretty busy!
