Holiday with a 1 year old - where to go???

may sound a ridiculous question, and it is, but trying to decide where to go on holidays with our then 1 year old dd.

I'm at a bit of a loss as holidays pre baby involved self driving around Namibia, Jordan and Utah/Arizona with lots of hiking and never more than 2 days in one place.

Took dd to Oz in February but it wad for a wedding and only involved staying at 2 separate places over 2 weeks.

Looking for somewhere in Europe in September but don't know whether to go for the full on resort experience or try somewhere smaller. think we've admitted defeat and are happy to go for a weeks complete relaxation without trying to sightsee, but will dd get bored? Will we??

I'll be happy as long as I'm near the sea

Any ideas would be a great start

you can go pretty much anywhere with a one year old. She won't get bored if she has mum and dad with her and some toys Grin

South of France? Some lovely beaches and the train runs along the coast so you can go sight seeing easily. Juan Les Pins has a gorgeous beach for little ones and there is loads to visit nearby.

Sardinia is also great for kids. We took dd when she was 15 months and she was fussed over everywhere. She just loved playing on the beach. We took it in turns to watch her and make sandcastles/paddle whilst the other read their book. We did a few excursions - to the Islands/Corsica etc and just chilled and ate lots of yummy food.

Hi there.
I live in Tenerife and have my own small childcare buisness there.

It is a great place for families with children of all ages as there is so much to do.
You also have a choice of so many hotels from your 5 plus luxury to your 2/3 accomodation.

If you have any questions or want some recommendations for hotels, just let me know.

Happy holidays :)

When our first was a one yo, we went to the South of France. He had a blast digging sand on the beach and paddling in the sea.
