Can anyone suggest somewhere nice and not outrageously expensive to stay in Boston for a few nights?

We will be in Boston in the summer and are staying at the Hilton in the financial district. I don't know if it's nice but it won't be outrageously expensive!

We stayed at the Roundhouse a little out of town, but regular minibuses into the centre. It is all suites so plenty of room and offers free breakfast so was pretty good value.
I have also stayed at the midtown good clean central, but breakfast quite expensive.
Finally the Tremont is lovely, but pricer and in the theatre district. The dinner two doors down is great for breakfast.

If you want more suggestions I advise you ask on the Trip Advisor Boston forum. They can help with anything else you need to know as well regarding sightseeing, dining, transport etc.

I stayed at the Lennox which was lovely. I did however get a great deal at the time and the exchange rate was two dollars to the pound.

We stayed at the Hilton at the airport ... Great for a few days as the links to trains everywhere were on our doorstop. Very nice hotel.

Stay anywhere in the Copley area and you can walk everywhere. Nicer than bang central Boston that can be a bit rough. The Marriot Copley Place is fab, cheap and cheerful but central and you can walk through indoors to not only one but two shoppingmalls, also opposite huge supermarket which is very handy!! Walking distance safe and pramfriendly to parks, cheers bar, shopping library and more!)
