A night away - nice hotel?

Me and DH have baby sitters sorted and really fancy a night away together. Anyone got any ideas for a nice hotel east of england with a nice restaurant in the hotel or nearby? Cost not important just need somewhere to relax.

It could be anywhere bar Norwich as that where we live. Sorry I can't narrow it down. We're willing to drive long distance DH finds it relaxing and I'm practising for upcoming driving test so thats not a problem. Just interested to see where other mumsnetters can suggest.

Victoria at Holkham Bay. Try one of their lodges for something a bit different

How about The Compleat Angler at MArlow.Right on the river-great views and fantastic food.Amazing staff and a nice county town to have a wander around too.
I speak from experience as I did it a few weekends ago-sheer bliss.

Whatever you do-have a fabulous time.
