We will be on the road this friday on the way to cornwall and will most probably be around the stonehenge area (we are going down the A303) around mid-morning. I need to find us a nice place (hotel, pub) where we can stop and watch the royal wedding!! Does anyone have any recommendations?
please.....?

I would check road works if I were you. The roundabout just before Stonehenge was all dug up last week when I drove down. We were stuck there for 30 mins at about 2pm on a MOnday. ON the way back to London we took 40 mins to get past it the other way on Firday at about 4pm. But the was south the queues were awful, at least 5 miles....

ooo, thanks cece, that's a great help may look at the M4/M5 route instead then.... that will then place us on the M4 around 10.30-ish (we are travelling from cambridge) - leaving at about 9 in the morning. maybe we need to think about leaving early.....

We used to live near here. The Swan is great, you'd have to ring about the wedding though as not sure they are showing it. It's just off the A303 past Stonehenge.
