Car seats on BA planes

Very infrequent flyer here. If I wanted to take our DS's car seats (a Group 1 and a high back booster) with us to Italy would they be counted in our luggage allowance?

No, not in my experience. You check it in with the other luggage but it isn't part of the luggage allowance.

I took a baby seat BA two years back and it wasn't counted
