The last thing I would do it to go AI in Puerto Pollensa as there is so much good food in majorca that you would really miss out. I'd personally have a car and there are some proper supermarkets within a 5 minute drive which stock everything you can imagine and some fantastic restaurants in the local area too especially in Old Alcudia and in Pollensa village. We like to stay close to Pine Walk a little way out of town as it's quite quiet, has the smaller beaches and is quite Spanish.

Try Sealand Villas website they have very nice villas & include car hire in this area of Majorca.

Playa Mar Aparthotel, its at the end of the pine walk, book with Thompson. We went last year but ate out most evenings....

Look on www.puertopollensa.com for information. There is a forum as well that is very useful.

We went there 10 years ago and stayed in an apartment on pine walk looking out directly on the sea. It was was one of my most memorable holidays.
This year we are going again but with children and have booked privately and staying in the Bellesreguard complex which is a few roads in from the sea but has a swimming pool. I can not wait as it is so lovely.

You could also ask on the Trip Advisor Puerto Pollensa forum.
