where to stay on South Bank for 1 night - best premier inn or travelodge perhaps?

just need a cheapy over night stay but want to near or on the South Bank near all bars, rest' etc...

Was thinking of a Premier Inn but which one they are a few in that area?

There is a premier inn at waterloo. Think is is called county hall, or was the county hall. Good, clean and central. Next to the eye, aquarium and Mariott

There's a Travelodge at Tower Bridge that's ok.

Why not have a look at a b and b, google alistair sawday's special places to stay... Will probably end up in a more interesting place...

The County Hall one is the nicest and best located imo. I've sent American friends there and they approved.

My aunt and uncle stayed in the Premier Inn at County hall (right on the South Bank) recently and said it was great.

Marlin Appartments are good. There are several of them in the area and are small flats effectively so, if you want you can cook in (there always seems to be a little Tesco nearby) and relax in the living room. Not as cheap as Travellodge, but much nicer.
