Anyone been to Camping Park Playa Bara or Tamarit Park in Spain?

After several weeks of procrastinating about what to do/where to go we are thinking of Spain, flying to Barcelona and looking at these two campsites with Canvas.

Bit concerned about the 'nightlife' - would like a bit of entertainment but not all day and night and very noisy as kids only 6 & 9 etc. These appeal as not too far from Barcelona and walkable to the beach. Have looked briefly at Camping Villanova but looks like in a built up area although not sure about these two and how built up they are??

Any advise appreciated.
TIA

We went to Playa Bara with canvas 2 years ago (may/june) and loved it. My dc's were 9 & 11 at the time. Went and had a look at Tamarit park (just to be nosy) and it didn't look half as nice. Google Playa Bara, they have a video thing to look at. Hope this helps!

Hi FM and thanks for your message. Was kind of going towards Tamarit park TBH as Playa Bara looks quite large and noisy and maybe a bit too much going on. Was also concerned about the evening noise - my Dc's are 6 & 9. Aaaargh - it's taken this long to come to a decision to go to Spain as we've not been before. Last year we went to Camping Eden on Lake Garda with Canvas. There doesn't seem to be an equivalent video of Tamarit park video unfortunately!

What time of year are you going? Noise did not bother us (and I hate noisy campsites!) The amphitheatre finished 11pm and was actually quite good fun, the disco is underground and we could not hear that at all. Pools were excellent, loads of different play areas etc. Would recommend Cambrils and Sitges beaches. We are going to lake Garda (San Franceso) with canvas this august, any tips?

Went to Tamarit a few years ago.
It was OK nothing to rave about TBH. The pool closed ridicuously early and the security guards patrolling constantly to ensure no loud noise after 10pm were rather offputting.

Thanks for your responses - although I'm beginning to wish I hadn't asked as Playa Bara doesn't seem to be available now! thought I had made a decisions - I know there are other parks in that area like Villanova and now am doing my head in!

Time to switch off and try again tomorrow! Confused

Thanks again

FM - whereabouts on Lake Garda are you as it is very big - we were near Salo.
