Booked a hotel in Cardiff for Easter weekend - 2 adults and 1 child but no cots!

The hotel has a policy of 2 children under 16 being able to share with 2 paying adults. But there is only one large bed in each room - so is everyone expected to go in one bed if there were two children??

My dd is 2 and still sleeps in a cot at home so I was hoping that travel cots would be available on request but then I read something about no space for extra beds or cots being available.

Do you think I would be allowed to take my own travel cot? When I booked the room I thought that it would cater for babies/children as I clicked the option to include child Confused

do they need to know you've brought one?
We used to bring our travel cot to hotels...no one said a word...

I think I'd still ask for a cot and see what they say.
Which hotel? seems a bit odd

Just take your own travel cot or share the bed.

I would take a ready bed. Maybe the space in room doesnt fit a cot

(We've also done some room arranging to put the cot in)

It is www.novotel.com/gb/hotel-5982-novotel-cardiff-centre/index.shtml this hotel. I don't mind taking my own cot but I'm concerned as to whether they will object to that (my dd won't sleep with me - never has). The rooms look big so I'm confused about the policy tbh. All other hotels I've stayed in abroad and in the UK seem to have a travel cot as a matter of course in family rooms.

The sofa turns into a bed (stay in Novotels lots) Also think if you call up they will hve a cot - I haven't come accross one yet that doesn't.

There is a pull out sofa bed for kids or maybe they'd provide a cot on request but not in addition to 2 other children.

I have slept in novotels before they have cots unless the one in cardiff is very bad. We also use our own cot once no problem there they can't object to you having a cot.
they rearrange the rooms to fit the needs (i.e they will bring in cots and extra beds if needed but not let them there if nobody uses them)

Thanks everyone, that is helpful. I will call them before we go then.
