Good chippy near London Transport Museum?

Following on from everyone recommending LTM have decided to go there on the first day of my trip to London with DS (age 6). Thought we could go there and then go and have takeaway fish and chips. Maybe a bit silly to ask on here but DS has never lived in UK so something different for him (he can't remember having some a few years ago), I have not been to UK for a couple of years and fancy sitting out eating them from the paper (trip down memory lane)! Does anyone know of anywhere good nearby? Have seen the Rock and Sole Plaice on the net but reviews are mixed and it is a bit of a walk. Thanks Smile

Not sure there are many fish and chip places in the central bit of London-lots of naffo pizzerias and burger bars

Tthere's a very good fish and chip shop called Fryers Delight on Theobalds Road , near Holborn Tube so walkable from Covent Garden - it's been there for years, it's not very gentrified, just formica tables etc

Just in case the weather isn't great, I'd recommend the Loch Fyne fish restaurant which is very near the LTM. They have a children's menu and DS (6) is a fan.

A gerat chippy called " The Rock and Soul Plaice " is just round the corner of Shorts Garden & Endell Street, so about 5 minutes walk away from LTM.

Second vote for Fryer's Delight
